yup, you hit that... thas what I said in my post... I only correct one thing. If you look at most frequency responses to different boxes, the sealed will hit lower. The thing is, people have debated as to the human ear only earing a low 40hz signal in a car rather than the 20hz the lowest freq the ave human ear can pickup. A ported box, you can tune to the bass to a low 40hz where the frequency response has a slight spike in that area. It will bring out the low 40 Hz a higher than 60-100 hz and sound like it's hitting lower because you hear those low 40 hz signals. That same proted box may have a huge downslope on anything below 40 Hz, yet the sealed box will be flatline from 32Hz. It will play 32 Hz as loud as 40 Hz, but it won't stand out much in the average non-pro tuned system. This is just in general I mean. I used to sit and play with the different speaker specs and types of boxes before I built them to decide which was best for the application. I tuned my PORTED box down to a 31.2 Hz -3db drop. With the PPI amp, it was nuts and I had to adjust it via the amp because it was shaking the hell outa my Z.
